Meet the Owner and Founder of
The Jagged Edge Hair and Nail Studio,
Mary Kay Anderson, Cosmetologist
Mary Kay Anderson brings with her over 30 years of experience as a cosmetologist, she has also been a salon owner for the last 20 years. She has been part of the Redken artistic family for 18 very rewarding years. Mary Kay is a Redken Certified Haircolorist, Design Stylist, and Finishing Stylist. She is still actively learning, also sharing with other stylists techniques that will provide each client with the ultimate experience.
Mary Kay's passion is helping guests to achieve the looks that they are craving while sharing with them the importance of maintaining the integrity of their hair fiber. Maintaining the integrity of their hair starts with the products used behind the chair and continues to follow the guest home. Mary Kay prides herself on helping the client with all of these decisions and educating them on how to achieve their look at home.
Angel Diaz - Salon Manager/Cosmetologist
Angel has been a cosmetologist for over 14 years, she managed a salon in Spokane for many years before bringing her talents to The Jagged Edge Hair & Nail Salon. She continues to learn and grow her skill set, and is now a certified lash tech and has attended the Redken Symposium.
Angel’s passion is making people feel beautiful, she has always had a love for hair. Angel prides herself in helping guests achieve the look they want while maintaining the overall health of the hair. Angel wants to help her clients achieve the look they are craving, while ensuring they enjoy their look long after they leave her chair.
Elsie Huyser- Esthetician
Elsie is a licensed esthetician with 1½ years of experience in the industry. She began her esthetics career working in West Seattle for six months before moving to Chewelah, where she continues to grow her passion for helping others feel confident and comfortable in their own skin.
Elsie loves creating a relaxing and welcoming experience for every client while taking the time to get to know them and build genuine relationships based on trust and connection. Seeing her clients leave feeling more confident is one of the most rewarding parts of her career.
Outside of the salon, Elsie enjoys watching movies, baking, relaxing on the porch on sunny days, and spending time with her loved ones. She describes herself as kind, funny, and compassionate and looks forward to continuing her education and growing her skills within the esthetics industry.
